Brigance Early Childhood

The Community Day School uses the Brigance Early Childhood tools throughout our school. Brigance Early Childhood focuses on the skills that lead to school success. With this, teachers observe, interview and record where each child has mastered skills for their age group. If the child has not mastered the skill, teachers are able to use this information to plan activities for the children through their lesson plans. We also use the Briance tool to share with parents during conferences.

Specifically, Brigance Early Childhood helps teachers and families understand and better prepare their children for the next step in their education and development process while focusing on the skills that lead to school success. The test content is used to understand the child's readiness for Kindergarten and/or get further insight into their early development.
